Plymouth County TRIAD
TRIAD is a community based education program for senior citizens. TRIAD promotes crime awareness and prevention by connecting local Councils on Aging with Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald Jr. and District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz.
TRIAD communities form a S.A.L.T. Council [Seniors And Law enforcement Together ] comprised of senior volunteers, a Council on Aging Director, local police and fire officials, and protective services personnel. Each town sets its own agenda and goals based of the following TRIAD principles…
TRIAD aims to: EMPOWER EDUCATE REACH OUT FORGE LINKS
Various TRIAD initiatives include: Senior IDs, 911 Cells for Seniors, the House Number Program and 10 Weeks Between Generations.
For Sheriff McDonald, “Making sure seniors feel more secure is a priority of the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department. By continuously educating our seniors on crime prevention and safety TRIAD becomes a precious crime fighting tool.”
