Monday, December 3rd SANTA SOUND THE ALARM IT’S CHRISTMAS TIME AT THE PLYMOUTH COUNTY FARM
It’s Christmas time at the Plymouth County Farm; Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald Jr. has announced. Christmas trees, wreaths and poinsettias are now on sale. Come see the vivid colors of the season.
The red, pink, and white poinsettias warm the greenhouse. The fresh balsam fur wreaths and trees fill the air. The Petting Zoo animals in their fuzzy winter coats look for friendly holiday shoppers. Along with getting ready for Christmas, visitors to the farm will see cows, sheep, pigs, goats and chickens—but also an expansion in the works. Two new greenhouses are being constructed on the County Farm. Sheriff McDonald says this is good news for the public and his inmate farm program. “Once the greenhouses are up, we’ll raise indoor plants and stay open year round—providing a greater rehabilitation experience for our inmates.” All farm proceeds fund inmate programs. Open daily until 8pm.
