LOCAL SCOUTS LEARN ABOUT FINGERPRINTING

 

A handful of Plymouth Cub Scouts pay close attention as Bureau of Criminal Investigation Captain Scott Petersen dusts for fingerprints. The group wrapped-up a lesson on fingerprint evidence with Deputy Jeff Burton and had their hands rolled in ink to make records to take home.

GENEROSITY SWEEPS SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

 

This December members of the ACE, NAGE and IBCO Unions contributed to the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department annual holiday drive for families at the South Shore Women’s Resource Center, Brockton Family and Community Resources, and Women’s Place Crisis Center.

The Union contributions totaled $600 and will aid families in need this Christmas.

Many individuals at the department contributed to the annual drive by purchasing clothing, toys and gift cards for 16 Plymouth County families.

 

 

Victim Services Coordinator, Kerri Yetman accepts a $250 check from ACE President Derek Webb at the department’s holiday party as Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald Jr. looks on.

2007 TOP GUN RESULTS

 

            Four members of the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department recently competed in the PCSD TOP GUN Championship at the Brockton Police Shooting Range.

Knee-deep in snow, Captain Bob Bethoney determined Deputy Tony Melendez beat out Deputy Sgt. Arthur Short for this year’s title.

Also competing in the final four were: Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald Jr. and last year’s winner BCI Deputy Bill Rovelto.
