PCSD JOINS ANTI-HATE EFFORT

 

            On June 27th, members of the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department joined other local agencies at the Brockton Rox baseball game to take a stand against hate and domestic violence.

PCSD, along with the office of District Attorney Tim Cruz, Brockton Mayor Tim Harrington, The White Ribbon Campaign, and all South Shore No Place for Hate community groups, led the several thousand in attendance in a pledge to stop hate and violence against women.

 

 

Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald Jr. addresses the crowd at the Rox game. By taking the pledge, he said, Plymouth County is headed down a road to a better place together.

Tuesday, June 26th

 

TRANSPORTATION DEPUTIES AWARDED

 

          Two employees of the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department were recognized by the Executive Office of Public Safety during the 10th Annual Correction Officer of the Year Award Ceremony.

            Transportation Deputies Christopher Socha and Michael Santos received the Meritorious Conduct Award for their response to a fatal Plympton car crash in May 2006.

Friday, June 15th

 

PCSD JOINS TORCH RUN

 

            On Friday, June 15th, several dozen members of the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department participated in the Special Olympics 12-mile Torch Run from Plymouth to Halifax. Above, Audra Lissell, Special Olympics Massachusetts Associate Director, addresses the runners as Transportation Deputy Robert McConnell holds the Torch. Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald Jr. hopes to expand PCSD participation next year.
