10 WEEKS BETWEEN GENERATIONS
Over the past few months, Marshfield High School Students and Marshfield Elders shared their life experiences in the 10 Weeks Between Generations program. The goal of the program, as part of the Plymouth County TRIAD, is to bridge the gap between teens and elders. MORE PHOTOS. SHERIFF SECURES $5.5 MIL; ENDS FISCAL YEAR 07 IN BLACK
The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department will receive $5.5 million in additional state funds to operate the jail, Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald Jr. announced Wednesday May 23rd. McDonald said nearly $17 million in supplemental funding had been sought by county sheriffs, after a statewide downturn in the state’s real estate market this year. MORE...

Bridgewater- Raynham Regional High School Senior, Katrina Lessard of Bridgewater, poses with Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald Jr. On May 4th, Lessard was elected Student Sheriff for the day by her peers in Social Studies Coordinator Robert Kostka’s annual Local Student Government Day program. The program was first inspired by Representative David Flynn [D-Bridgewater] more than 40 years ago. 70 students participated this year.
