CIVIL PROCESS DEPUTY NAMED ‘CO-DEPUTY OF THE YEAR’
The Massachusetts Deputy Sheriffs’ Association named Plymouth County’s Deputy Director of Civil Process, Lisa Muscato of Pembroke, ‘Co-Deputy of the Year’ at its annual conference in Hyannis Friday. Deputy Director Muscato shares the honor with Chief Deputy Sheriff Dave Knightly of Hampshire County. The two are being recognized for their work to standardized fees and procedures among the 14 Sheriff run civil process offices in the state. M Muscato said going into the conference she had no idea she’d be receiving an award. “I am pleased to be recognized. I’ve been part of the Association for 23 years. I received the President’s award in 2003, and am surprised to be recognized again so soon.” Muscato and Knightly’s work is ongoing and their proposals will need to be adopted by the legislature. According to Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald Jr., “The work she is doing is vital, not only to Sheriffs but to courts and litigants. It will bring a level of predictability and the ability to get uniform services from Sheriff’s departments across Massachusetts.”
