Monday, October 22nd PLYMOUTH COUNTY TO GRADUATE 28 CORRECTION OFFICERS
On October 17th, 28 newly trained Correction Officers posed for a class picture in advance of their graduation ceremony at Massasoit Community College on October 26th. After 10 weeks of rigorous physical and classroom training, the Corrections Officers will enter the ranks of the Plymouth and Norfolk County Correctional Facilities. Director of Training Brian Geraghty says the student officers are now “a unified, educated, and well-conditioned unit.” They are about to “join the respected line of correctional professionals whose hard work and dedication are silently, yet confidently, on display daily in our County institutions.” MORE…

PCSD DONATES TACTICAL GEAR TO TROOPS
PLYMOUTH-- On Saturday October 6th, Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald Jr. joined CarePacks of Weymouth, a non-profit group that has sent almost 4,000 care packages to US Soldiers overseas, to include in its latest shipment 50 tactical vests no longer in use by the Sheriff’s Department. Izaiah and Zachariah Zooleck stand in front of their father Officer Zooleck and Sheriff McDonald. They are outfitted in two of the 50 tactical vests the department donated to US soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. CarePacks.org of Weymouth funded the shipment.

CIVIL PROCESS DEPUTY NAMED ‘CO-DEPUTY OF THE YEAR’
The Massachusetts Deputy Sheriffs’ Association named Plymouth County’s Deputy Director of Civil Process, Lisa Muscato of Pembroke, ‘Co-Deputy of the Year’ at its annual conference in Hyannis Friday. Deputy Director Muscato shares the honor with Chief Deputy Sheriff Dave Knightly of Hampshire County. The two are being recognized for their work to standardized fees and procedures among the 14 Sheriff run civil process offices in the state. MORE…
