Monday, October 22nd PLYMOUTH COUNTY TO GRADUATE 28 CORRECTION OFFICERS
On October 17th, 28 newly trained Correction Officers posed for a class picture in advance of their graduation ceremony at Massasoit Community College on October 26th.
After 10 weeks of rigorous physical and classroom training, the Corrections Officers will enter the ranks of the Plymouth and Norfolk County Correctional Facilities.
Director of Training Brian Geraghty says the student officers are now “a unified, educated, and well-conditioned unit.” They are about to “join the respected line of correctional professionals whose hard work and dedication are silently, yet confidently, on display daily in our County institutions.”
This will be a milestone in Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald Jr.’s administration. “This is the third class of Correction Officers to graduate under my watch. I couldn’t be more confident in these men and women. I’m proud knowing PCCF is fully staffed with qualified personnel.”
“There is nothing more important than first-rate training for a Correction Officer,” said Norfolk County Sheriff Michael G. Bellotti, whose office will take on two of the new graduates. “We were pleased to be a partner with the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department. They run a superb academy.”
The graduation ceremony begins at 2pm on Friday, October 26th in the Buckley Center for Performing Arts at Massasoit Community College in Brockton.
