POLICE, FIRE, or MEDICAL services.

An emergency 911 dispatcher has primary responsbility for the initial deployment of personnel and equipment.
→ Follow established procedures, employ common sense, and maintain a calm demeanor to provide aid and support to emergency personnel and ensure that messages are clear, concise, and delivered in a timely manner.
→ Utilize the Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system for all dispatched activity.
→ Maintain and retrieve records, files, and infomation for prompt communication to field units and department personnel.
→ Demonstrate excellent communication and computer skills.
→ Maintain situational awareness of local, regional, state, and national emergencies and events.
→ Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
→ Candidates preferred with the following certifications:
• LEAPS/CJIS certification
• NG911 Equipment certification
• EMD
• APCO public safety telecommunications
Certifications can be earned through PCSD training - Speak with ADS DeFrancesco.
→ Candidates must successfully complete a background investigation.
→ Candidates must have excellent communication and computer skills.
→ 911 Dispatcher is a full time position.
